Login and Registration Questions
Q. Do I have to register with Sellityourself.ie? [back]
A. If you just wish to search for property, you do not have to register. But if you wish to list your property or use the advanced features of the site you need to register.
Registration is simple. You need to enter a username (any name) and password, and a valid email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as your address is hidden.
Q. Why can't I login? [back]
A. It may seem obvious, but have you registered? If so then please double check your username and password (send to you in email). Make sure you are entering the details exactly as they appear in your registration email - they are case sensitive.

Q. I've lost my password. What now? [back]
A. You can retrieve your password easily. Simply go to the Login page and click I've forgotten my password link, follow the instructions and your password will be emailed to you.
Property Listing Questions
Q. How do I list my property on Sellityourself.ie? [back]
A. You can place your property on our website instantly using our online forms and uploading your digital photos. Alternatively you can email or post your property details to us, along with photos and we will gladly list your property at no extra cost.

Q. How do I edit my property listing? [back]
A. You can edit your property listing as often as you like, at any time of the day or night. Simply log in with your username and password and you are brought directly to the Members Area. Click on Edit Property.

Q. How can I tell how many people have viewed my ad? [back]
A. Yes. Simply log in with your username and password and click on View Current Property. You will then see details of the number of people who have viewed your property.
Photo Management Questions
Q. How many photos can I include? [back]
A. You can post up to 6 colour photos of your property.
Q. What type of photos can I upload? [back]
A. You can either upload .JPEG, .JPG or .GIF images. Photos taken with a digital camera are most often used by our property sellers. We also provide a professional photography service if required.
Q. I can't upload my photos. What's wrong? [back]
A. Please ensure the photo is .JPEG, .JPG or .GIF format.
Once uploaded your photo names will appear in the drop down list to the right of the upload box. Simply select the required photo for each of the six photo slots.
If you are still having difficulty, please call us on 1850 663333 and we will talk you through the process. Or email your property photos to info@sellityourself.ie and we will upload on your behalf.
Q. How can I make my digital photos smaller? [back]
A. Your digital camera most likely came with some photo editing software. You can use this software to resize your photos.
Alternatively email your photos to info@sellityourself.ie and we will resize the photos and upload on your behalf, free of charge.
Q. I don't have a scanner or a digital camera. What can I do? [back]
A. Just email your photographs to info@sellityourself.ie and we will be happy to scan and upload your photographs to your account for you, free of charge.
Private Messaging
Questions
Q. What is the difference between Email and my Private Mailbox? [back]
A. Your Private Mailbox does not permit email addresses to be used or displayed. It is a messenger system between registered members of Sellityourself.ie
When someone enquires about your property, they send a message from their private mailbox to your private mailbox. The same process happens when you reply to a message that you've received in your own private mailbox.
Q. I have received an unwanted / spam message. What do I do? [back]
A. Messages can only be sent / received from registered members of Sellityourself.ie. If you receive an unwanted or spam message, please let us know and we will delete the Member from Sellityourself.ie and blacklist them.
Q. How do I send a private message to a property owner? [back]
A. Click on the property listing that you are interested in. Then :
- At the bottom of the property listing, click on Email Seller
- Complete the Subject and Message boxes.
- Click on send
Q. How do I read private messages? [back]
A. To read private messages from someone:
- Click on "Mailbox" link, usually located at the left hand of pages
- Click on "Inbox".
- of all private messages will be displayed, just click on any of them to read.
Q. How do I send a private message to a property owner? [back]
A. Login in to the Member Area
- Under the Email heading, click on Inbox
- Click on the Subject line of the email you wish to read
- To return, click on Inbox on the left hand side menu
